Camilo Freedman is a photojournalist and video journalist based in El Salvador, with a background in anthropology. He covers environment, land conflict, migration, and human rights across Central America, with bylines in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Bloomberg, AFP, and El País, among others. His photographs for The Washington Post contributed to the publication's 2026 Pulitzer Prize finalist entry in National Reporting. Freedman has also produced work for UNICEF and is a member of Diversify Photo and a scholar of the Riesgo Cruzado HEFAT program. He is a 2026 nominee for the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass.
